How I became what I am
My journey from an electrical engineer to an energy healer

Do you remember your time at school, when you were taught that you should only believe in things you can see, touch  or measure? However, our world has changed. Where ever we go now we interact with an invisible world. Or do you see radio waves, 5G, cell phone signals or WLAN? Already as a child I have been magically drawn to things you can’t see. I wanted to understand how it works.  Dive with me in the world of energy, vibrations and frequencies.1. My facination with energy startet when I was about 4 years old. There was a moment, when nobody was watching and I took a nail and did something, you never ever should do – I went to a socket and stuck it in! Can you imagine? The only thing I could remember afterwards was that I was lying in the middle of the room.  I was shocked but, I felt magically attracted by this power! From then on, when somebody asked me: “What do you want to become one day?” My answer always was: I want to know how electricity comes into the socket!

2.  Magic energy: Shortly after this incident – what a coincidence (!) – my parents detected that I seemed to have infinite energy reserves at my disposal. I could play for hours without getting tired and when everybody was already exhausted I kept going. On top of that I seemed to have developped a flair for numbers.  For me it is easy to remember any phone numbers and it is satisfying to get the correct result when solving difficult equations. I just love it! Hence, the moment I realized that elektricity has a vast connex with numbers, maths and physics I knew that I wanted to study electrical engineering.

3. Welcome to reality: I grew up on the country side and spent my school time in a creative girls school. My parents were very liberal and a good role model in gender equality.  But then came this moment, when I realized that the world is not as liberal as my parents thaught me. This moment was the first day of my studies at the Graz, University of Technology. I was so exited! I see myself standing at the door of the lecture hall, holding the handle in my hand and 800 male students staring at me.

4. It’s a men’s world: You may call me naive, but I was not aware that electrical engeering was seen as one of the last male domains. It took me quite a while to adapt and to be able to stand my ground in this new world. I have to admit, it was not easy at all! It was not my colleagues that made life as a femal student hard. Not all all,  they were very helpful and supportive – no it was some of the professors with their mindset, that women should learn cooking and not how to operate a power plant! And this in the 20th century! However, I kept going.

5. During my studies with all its experiences I realized: I am a pioneer. Being a female student studying electrical engineering, resulted in many first times – for me, my collegues, the professors and also the University. The University set up a first exhange program with Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore? I won the scholarship and was the first person to be there. And even more surprisingly, in 2000 I was the first woman to get a doctorate in electrical engineering at the Graz, University of Technology. However, being a pioneer is not always fun. It takes a lot of assertiveness, discipline and energy. My main driver that kept me going was always to path the way and to make sure that women after me have it a lot easier.

6. Steming from an entrepreneur family I knew, that after my studies that I need to move on. Don’t get me wrong – I love the world of Academia and the possibilities of free thinking, exploring and research – but I always felt that I want to make an impact, to build something up, to catalyse change and transformation. No wonder, that my fist job was to build up the Austrian Energy Exchange EXAA. It was a challenge to start something from scratch. It was a lot of work  including long hours, but I loved the freedom to shape, to decide und implement something new.

7. Is this the place where I want to be? Soon I found out that operations and keeping things running is not my strength. So I moved on to other start-ups and companies in the European energy industry. I learned a lot, took on different management positions and was a welcomed speaker at various international energy conferences. All along the way my main driver was always to shape, to transform, to make a difference which brought me to working for the Swiss electricity regulator where I got the possibility to contribute to the Swiss energy future.

8. During my time at the university and afterwards in the men dominated energy industry,  I learned quite quickly that as a women you always need to be better, smarter and put more effort in everything to be noticed. My body was continuously sending me signals that I am already deep in depth in my energy account – that I need to change something. But I didn’t understand and listen to these signals. Being used to always have so much energy I didn’t realize that there was not much energy left and how drained I felt. I was not aware of my energy any more. I kept going and wanted to show the world that I can be the perfect manager, the perfect mom, perfect spouse, perfect friend ….. pur perfectionism! However, I have to admit that I failed! Completly!

9. I will never forget the 29th of July 2018. That day changed my life. It turned it up side down. During a routine health check a tumor was found in my breast. I panicked. My family was shocked and of course  there was a lot of fear, anxiety, uncertainty. I didn’t know what to do – how to move on. My body showed me my limits and pointed out to me that there is another very important parameter in my equation of life, Even the most important parameter of everything – but one I had almost completely forgotten – myself. At that moment I realized that a lot of things in my life are not the way they should be and I want them to be.

10. From one moment to the other I woke up!  I discovered, I need to change a couple of things in my life – but of course I didn’t know which and how. But it one thing was clear to me: I had to take on responsibility for my health and my well-being. This is my life! I realized that I don’t need to fulfill expectations from others and my environment. I have to find out what do I expect from life. What do I really want to achieve and leave behind?

11. As an engineer I know that there is always more than one solution to a problem. That was when I discovered quantum science. Dr. Joe Dispenza‘s book “Breaking the habit of being yourself”  for me opened a door to a completely new world. Quantum science is always seen as something very abstract and academic – but no – it is real life. From that moment on when I understood that we are all energy – and that is the baseline of quantum physics – and everything has its frequencies – my life became so much easier. The game changer was, when I realized that I had to take care of my energy!

12. We are all just energy: You, me, your computer is made of 99.99% of energy. Every cell. But not only we are energy, everything we do, we think, we feel – it is just a frequency and hence, pur energy. Quantum science made me understand that we not only consist of a physical body – but we are surrounded by an energy body as well. That our cells not only get their energy from food, light, water and exercise but also from our 7 energy centers (chakras) and our energy body. If our energy cannot flow freely this can result in the long run in physical problems.

13. How energy healing works: I found an energy healing method based on quantum physics, working with frequencies. That’s why this method was so appealing to me. And as an electrical engineer I know how frequencies work. I applied these techniques: I learned to work with my energy, I removed energy blockades,, I activated my healing energy. Our body is a pure wonder – it always knows how to heal itself. Your body is the expert! If it doesn’t heal itself there is an energy blockade that prevents the energy from flowing freely. That’s when you have to step in and remove these energy blocks.

14. Working with energy – what’t that? This is a very important question I keep asking myself. And there is more than one answer. Because energy is very complex and simple at the same time. The tricky thing with energy is – same as with electricity – you cannot directly see it. You can only see what you can achieve with it and  it’s results. However, there are people who can see the energy body, the so called aura. But what we all can – is to FEEL your energy. Due to our hectic lifestyles we are just not paying attention to it. Most of the only time we are aware of it is when we lack energy.

15. Take on responsibility for your own health! My key learning is: My energy is my most important currency. This really changed my life. When I started working with my energy and healing myself people around me noticed the change. Familiy and friends asked me for favors to support them with their health issues and as word of mouth spread i realized all of the sudden that I have a talent not only to work with my own energy but also to support others on their way. Once, I realized that, I developed tools and hacks how people can keep up their energy. So they don’t need to go my path but start taking care of their energy much earlier.

16. I am passionate about energy. Yes, maybe I am even an energy maniac 🙂  – I feel it, I love it and I want to sparkle with energy – every day of my life! And I want to support other people to do the same!  For many people still time is the most important currency, but for me it is not. For me energy is the most important currency! Actually, it is the most valuable what you are having. If you learn to make the most of your energy, boosting its levels and optimise its usage, you may just start feeling that time is not a constraint.

17. My vision is to make energy management as popular as possible. Thats why I started the energy-on! movement. I want you to be aware of your energy. I want you to use your energy. Because when you know how to control, manage, recharge and protect your energy it has a vast impact not only on your health and well-being but also on your relationships and even on your business. Because also money is just energy! And I want you to have all the energy you need to lead the life you want.
